Career Cruising

Career Cruising is an internet-based career exploration and planning tool. It is very user-friendly and in as little as 5-10 minutes, students can take a short interest test to get them started on exploring careers which might be right for them. Students (and others in our supporting community) can access this from school, home, or wherever they have Internet access.

Features of the program include:

• access to college, university & apprenticeship info.
• close to 500 detailed career profiles, each containing two multimedia interviews
• interest and skills assessment
• a personal career portfolio tool with a resume builder

We make use of this program first semester during all gr. 10 Careers classes and with interested gr. 11 and 12 students. Senior students are encouraged to save any results from their time on this site so that the Guidance Teacher can also access these
